Loved your car back then and I'm really bummed that I couldn't make it this year.
2:06 is a very solid time, something to be proud of!

Nice time but it's worth mentioning you were on full slicks while the rest of the field in your class were on semi slicks or street tires.
Your car was going nice none the less!

That is true with the slicks. I´ve got a special permission from Brian because I noticed that one of my left front semi is falling apart Friday evening and the new set did not arrive yet. We agreed that I should not get any points but are allowed to drive arround for some personal laptimes. On the other hand, it is also worth to be mentioned that some other cars in the starters and sport class have never seen a legal APK as far as I saw the last 5 years or had twice as many horsepower as restrected in the reglement. Consequently, it was just for fun for everybody like it should be:-)

You're right about that, i saw some cars where i had doubts if it was a roadlegal or not.
When do you plan on going on track again?

Ik heb, wat betreft het circuitrijden, een drama dag gehad... De auto had nergens grip aan de voorkant, wat resulteerde in heel veel onderstuur. Met JAF had ik al veel onderstuur, maar nu was het helemaal dramatisch. Elke bocht, behalve bos uit, had ik geen grip op de voorwielen. Insturen ging redelijk, maar vanaf halverwege de bocht was het helemaal niks meer. Eindresultaat was een 2:14,0. JAF reed ik nog een 2:11 en mijn doelstelling was om nu onder de 2:10 te duiken. En mijn versnellingsbak wilde na 4 a 5 rondjes ook niet echt meewerken, koppeling werd te warm...

Ik ga de komende tijd de auto maar eens uit elkaar halen, het onderstel vooraan proberen aan te pakken en wat gewicht verwijderen.


Verder wel een leuke dag gehad hoor :P



@ Miguel: Jij hebt weer een mooie tijd gereden! 2:05.687 is echt heel netjes! Vorig jaar won jij toch ook een TA wedstrijd met een 2:05?
En welke auto's in de starter zijn volgens jou niet straatlegaal/apk waardig?

Hey Machiel,
Klopt vorig jaar ook een 2:05 met TA, sindsdien niets aan de auto veranderd maar wou wel wat onderstel aanpassingen doen om die tijd een beetje aan te scherpen. Ik krijg ook last van me versnellingsbak als de temp omhoog gaan, met name het terug schakelen.
Ik kan er niet een heleboel auto's noemen maar eentje die me opviel tijdens het rijden was een opel corsatje, kan goed zijn dat ie helemaal streetlegal is hoor.
Ik weet niet welke hector heeft gezien?

Mainly cars from the "sport class" came to my mind. Please understand that since I am from Austria and you are not allowed to make ANY changes on your car there at all, I am very impressed that you guys can cruise around with ground scratching front splitters, canards, flaps like knifes, rollcages, flaming exhausts and with ground clearences much less than 10cm. Imagine that even I had problems in Austria getting a legal apk. The Netherlands seem to be a tuning paradise:-)

all these thing doesnt allow you trough apk also, they just do it afterwards and change it back when it's apk time

Thank you very much for these pics Machiel! It was one of my inlaps. Interesting to me to know that there is still plenty of body roll although I did not really feel it.
Yes donkeykong it was me in Haarlem. I was wondering who is jumping infront of me in the traffic:-)
