Dit is gewoon zo'n door spoon omgebouwde
Kost iets van 70.000 om de auto om te bouwen.
Ze hebben er op het moment maar 5 omgebouwd voor amerikaanse klanten.
Het is een R omdat het zo omgedoopt is door spoon ... maar ook geen R omdat het een gewone was.

But you gotta admit, It's a NICE replica.
Spoon even claims that it peforms better then the Original one builth by honda.
I'd love to see a replica Vs a real one on best motoring.

Would be cool to see, but I think that of the 5 cars that were built not one is on the road.
Not really sure what they can base their comparison on when they say it performs better.
Then again its not that hard to strip out a stock NA1 Acura, slap a supercharger on there, put a decent suspension tire combo on and have it be fast.
The cool think about the real R GT's was that they turned the whole drive train by 90 degrees.

Spoon-Fed NSX: Tuner Re-Creates NSX Type R for the U.S.
.TOKYO — Japanese tuner Spoon Sports plans to convert left-hand-drive U.S.-spec NSXs into fully loaded NSX-Rs for the American market.
The Honda specialist is going the whole nine yards with the conversion. Extra goodies on the R include a retuned suspension with harder springs, stiffer shocks and thicker sway bars, a carbon-fiber rear spoiler, slotted brake rotors, a remapped ECU and a shorter final-gear ratio. That means total output should come in at around 300 horsepower, which is a little bump from the stock 290 hp found on the 2005 model.
Weight will be significantly cut, thanks to forged 17-inch wheels, carbon-fiber Recaro seats, a smaller battery, manual mirrors, thinner rear glass and the removal of all sound deadening. This diet should put the curb weight at around 2,800 pounds, which is currently what the JDM-spec NSX-R weighs in at.
Edmun Laurea, the president of Opak Racing, one of Spoon's importers, says that this superior NSX is currently available for order, although the U.S. registration process is still being smoothed out. Pricing starts in the $60,000-$69,000 range plus shipping costs, and Spoon will install anything from a twin-turbo to a wide-body kit if American enthusiasts are still hungry for more

NSX-R GT (alleen 5 in productie) ik heb nog nooit iemand gesproken (ook niet online) die er ooit een in het echt heeft gezien. Er gaan zelfs geruchten dat ie niet bestaat..
Spoon NSX: deze is speciaal voor de Amerikaanse markt gemaakt, zie reflectoren in het voor- en achterscherm. Dit is eigenlijk gewoon een getunede NSX.
Daar tussen zitten nog de Type-S, Type-S Zero en de Zanardi (voor Amerikaanse markt).
