Hello from England

Post by Turbo5 »

Sorry I don't speak Dutch but I thought I would say hi as a 1st post before I iinvite anyone to meet up with our yearly Eurotour.
I drive an import Honda Integra Type R also known as a DC5 its a recent import from Japan as they don't sell these in the UK My car is a facelift version late 2004 >
They come as standard with 220ps LSD Brembos recaro's HIDs etc. Its slightly modified with a buddyclub Spec IV exhaust cat back and a Comptec icebox induction kit. I travel around Europe a bit with Work and also to the Nurburgring and I have never seen one.
In the UK there are about 280 all imports of which about 10 are the facelift version.

Welcome! :zwaaien: What's your name?

Are you a member of Honda Revolutions by chance? I am their European Regional Representative as wel.

The Euro tour takes place from Saturday 30th June 2007 to Saturday 7th July 2007. Perhaps we could make a club meeting / event out of it.

alstjeblieft : wat gevonden

Saturday 30th June 2007
Catch the ferry at Dover to either Calais or Boulogne then head through France stopping off at the old pit lanes at Riems. We then head south using the payage through the Champagne Ardenne to the capital of the Burgundy region Dijon, for an over night stay

Sunday 1st July 2007
Today the real driving begins. Leaving Dijon we head past Lyon then Grenoble, before taking the Route Napoleon N85 which takes us through the Verdon Gorge (One of the nicest places in France) we then head for a two night stay in Nice. Tonight is the night, for those who want, can have a heavy late night drinking session

Monday 2nd July 2007
Rest day to visit Monaco or just chill on the beach in Nice or St Tropez

Tuesday 3rd July 2007
We leave Nice refreshed and ready for the days driving. They will be more twisties and mountain passes than you could ever dream about. We head for Briancon before taking in the Mont Cenis pass then onto the Little St Bernard Pass before reaching our overnight destination of Aosta (famous ski resort) in the Italian Alps.

Wednesday 4th July 2007
We leave Aosta and hit a mountain pass straight away the Great St Bernard pass before reaching the famous Furka pass, from here we follow Le Route de grande Alps passing through some beautiful Swiss mountain villages heading back into Italy to do the Passo del Bernina then onto the daddy of all twisties the Stelvio pass. We then head through some long mountain tunnels to hear the Vtec sing before hitting the Austrian Tirol, passing through Austria we head for our final destination of the day to a German Bavarian mountain villiage Garmisch Partenkirchen but not before taking a photo opportunity at the W$$K mountain the highest mountain in Germany

Thursday 5th July 2007
We leave Garmisch Partenkirchen then head through Austria again past Innsbruck and head for Austria's highest mountain and pass Grossglocknerstrasse from here we travel through Austria into Bavaria taking twistie B roads before we reach the Autobahn and keep to the speed limit.
We travel through the German Autobahns all the way up to Koblenz (nice city near the Nurburgring) or a hotel nearer the ring.

Friday 6th July 2007
Today we spend a full day at the ring doing what we enjoy most then head back to Koblenz for a end of tour party.

Saturday 7th July 2007
After a long lay in we head back through Germany Belgium and France before catching our ferry back to the UK. Those who want to stay a little longer at the ring can and make their way back Sunday or Monday.

The total route is about 2200 miles it takes in fast autobahns, mountain passes, cols, Villages, Beaches, mountain villiages, holiday resorts ski resorts, racetracks, historical motorsport venue and 7 different countries

@sled9e; thanks, had mezelf ondertussen al op hun forum aangemeld om te kijken.
Voor degene die interesse mochten hebben, in dec 2006 moet je een deposit van 40 pond betalen, last minute beslissen gaat dus lastig.
