Hello J live in Poland
Jt is my first post here
J'm goimg to build my Integra type- R soon
J've bought things such as
-JE 81.5 mm Pistons CR 12.5:1 b18c1 (cr 12.2-12.3 for itr)
-Camshaft skunk 2 stage 2
-Skunk2 Valve Springs & Titanium Retainers Type R
-cam gears AEM
-AEBS Typhoon Intake Manifold
-AEM CAI
-B # M Fuel Pressure Regulator
-Headers DC sport and exhaust supersprint
-RC Engineering Injectors 310cc
-Apexi VAFC II

1) J have a question to you Which electric modifications will be the best for my new ITR??? Js there any ECU Program, for the camshaft skunk stage 2 etc.
J 've also bought Apexi VAFC II What do you think J need more????
2) Another question is : How can J set-up VTEC to APEXI (low or high for camshafts skunk2 stage 2 )
J will appreciate any advice .

Hello!

Nice project!
The electronics on a ITR are a bit difficult because of the "hard to crack" ecu.
The easyest way is to buy a skunk2 ECU. This has a higher rev limit and a lowered Vtec point.
But this program will only work on a P30 or P72 Obd1 ecu. Yours is obd2 so it will not fit........
A possibility is to change from obd2 to obd1 by adding a conversion harnas. Then you can use the skunk2 ecu.

From there website:
311$ for the program + 250$ for the ecu itself. And then you need a conversion harnas. That will be about 120euro.


Maybe I can deliver you the parts for less. If you can wait a while, I can built you an obd1 P30 ecu with the original Skunk2 program in it. (I got several programs on my laptop)

But 128 fields in the ignition map and 128 fields in the fuelmap is extreem low!
It will be hard to tune. If you compare it with a stock ecu wich has 200 fields for low Vtec ignition, 200 fields for High Vtec ignition and also 2 times 200 fields for the fuel maps.

And some other thing,
Do you have some one in the neighbourhood who thinks he can work with the software?
Most times a tuner first have to "play" a full day with it before he knows the system. And by that time he maybe destroyed your engine because of the lack of knowledge of this ECU.

Think of it before you buy a system like this! Also other brands of stand alone systems have the same problems. The biggest problem is finding some one who realy can work with it!

I bought cam shaft skunk 2 stage 2 and Skunk2 Valve Springs & Titanium Retainers Type R I have pistons CR about 12.2:1 and RC Engineering Injectors 310cc
I have question , because I need computer , which will cooperate with this set and change from obd 2 to obd1.
Are you able to get this computer with change from obd2 to obd1 for me?????
Please answer me as soon as possible , it is very important to me

First of all, If you are gonna run with 310cc injectors none of the above ecu's will work with them.
See it like this: A Skunk2 or spoon ecu injects an amound off fuel that is ment for 240cc injectors. When you switch them to 310cc injectors it will run way to rich because these injectors give way more fuel in the same time.

But when you drive a engine with these specs 310cc injectors will be way better than the stock 240cc injectors. The 240cc's are too small to give enough fuel for these cams. Can you follow me?

Its just a matter of fine tuning the mixture to 13,5:1 at wide open throttle. I run 310cc injectors also so I made my own program for my engine. The fuel maps setups are lower than stock but because of the larger injectors it gets more fuel than stock.

I took a bit of a JDM civic typeR ignition map, a bit of the skunk2 program and fine tuned it for my engine specs.
At this moment I run a stock B16a2 with al the B18 goodies around it. With my program on a JDM p30 obd1 ecu I got 197HP out of it!
Thats the power of a good program!

Are ther any dyno's around in your country with people who can program a P30 obd1 ecu? These ecu's are found in a civic Vtec 92-95
These ecu's are very easy to crack and tune.
Maybe this is the best way. Take a P30, put in the cams, springs, retainers and 310cc injectors an go to the dyno. Let them tune your P30 ecu and you will have the best possible for your engine.
Maybe I can give you the MAPs of the Skunk2 program, so the dyno guy has an idea how this program works.
