CTR extra reinforcement?

Hi, new guy here, sorry about not speaking any Dutch...

We've been having discussions on other forums over in the US about changing to thicker rear sway bars in our EP3 Civic Si's, which came with 15 mm stock (17 mm in '04-05). Some companies (Progress, etc) sell 22mm and larger sway bars with reinforcment plates that are added to the points where the sway bar anchors to the car's chassis. Other companies produce heavier endlinks as well.

Now, I've been wondering about the OEM CTR and whether it also has extra sway bar reinforcement already added by Honda, and whether its endlinks are the same as, or stronger than, the endlinks that we have in our Si's.

After all, the CTR and DC5-R 22mm rear sway bars are usually the best choice, because they fit better than most aftermarket versions. I just want to know if the genuine CTR has stronger anchor points and endlinks to go with it.

Any ideas? Anybody have pics to compare?

Dimer, duik eens onder je civic!

Ok, I don't know about the civic's anchorplates but I know quite a lot about car handling. And the eurospec Civic typeR is one big entertainer! Oversteer al the way if you want it.
So the stock CTR swaybar is thick enough to get the civic from quite neutral to oversteered in a corner.
What you say is very true! The stock 22mm swaybar is thet best choice!

Maybe Dimer can look under his car and take photo's how the anchorplates are mounted.

Cool -- I'll take some pics of the underside of my car for a comparison.
