Wilco heeft heel lang zitten twijfelen of het verstandig is of niet of ik nu wel of niet moet gaan rijden , tot op gisteravond wist ik nog steeds niet of ik dus wel en niet ga rijden.
Ik heb vandaag besloten dat het verstandig is dat ik het niet doe.
Reden; 4 jaar geleden heb ik een hernia gehad en sinds 4 weken is deze waarschijnlijk weer terug , ik heb een doof gevoel in mijn linkerbeen en heb weinig kracht. En de rest hoef ik denk ik niet te vertellen dat is mijn probleem.
Nu is het nog maar Mei en Aug. is ver weg , maar mocht ik en deze tussentijd geopereerd moeten worden ben ik absoluut niet herstelt voor Aug.
En andere kant , mocht deze pijn en hernia afzwakken en hoef ik niet geopereerd worden , weet ik niet wat deze zenuwpijn gaat doen op zo'n dag waarbij je hem de hele dag gaat belasten met koppelen en het zitten in zulke lage stoelen trekt ook. Kan ik het dan gokken om wel zo'n dag te plannen en dan er achter komen dat zo'n dag weg gegooid geld is en dan langs de kant staan toekijken.
Nee, op deze laatste keuze heb ik nu ook nee op gezegd , gaat absoluut tegen mijn drang in. Maar lichamelijk misschien een betere keuze , alhoewel mijn hersenen anders zeggen :-?
Wel moet ik zeggen dat nu voor mij de lol van de ITR zo stuk minder wordt omdat ik 2 jaar geleden al met een lekkende carterpan zat voor 30 April om te kunnen rijden op Zandvoort en vorig jaar zit ik midden in een verhuizing en verbouwing en de kleine was geboren , en druk jaar waarbij de ITR net amper 1500Km max. heeft gemaakt, nu dit jaar was HET jaar om te rijden , ITR in de winter klaar gemaakt , alles besteld (sommige dingen moet ik nog ophalen) en nu eind Maart was het raak, nou ik kan je zeggen als je auto je leven is en je je kunt dit jaar weer niks en je hebt je auto net afgebouwd dan is dat zuur.
Hierbij heb ik genoeg gezegd denk ik, voor degene die gaan. Maak er een super dag van.

TRACK DAY FORMAT
The circuit will be open between 9am and 5pm with a 1-hour break for lunch around between 12:30pm and 1pm.
A driver’s safety briefing will be held and it is essential that all drivers attend this safety briefing before being allowed on track. Separate briefings will not be given for latecomers.
There will be no sessions - the events will be open pit lane all day. You are advised to pace yourself and you car, particularly early on in the day so as not to cause unnecessary wear to the tyres and / or brakes. Also bear in mind the mixture of abilities and performance of cars that will be using the circuit and drive accordingly. Novice drivers may be less observant, less aware and far slower than regular track day drivers. You have been warned.
BookaTrack.com Ltd cover public Liability Insurance, but this precludes any form or timing of competitive driving. Any persons caught driving competitively or using timing equipment shall be removed from the circuit without warning and no refund will be due.
The hire of the circuit includes use of a limited number of pit garages and the paddock area. Garages can be pre-reserved for £25 via the website booking pages. Any garages that are not reserved and are available to BookaTrack are available on a first come first served basis.

• Food can be bought onsite at the circuit café
• Complementary tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available in the BookaTrack garage.
• The BookaTrack.com staff will be arranging an evening meal that customers are invited to join. Further details will be available at a later date.
SAFETY BRIEFING SUMMARY:
Standard motorsport flags will be used on the day (though these may be substituted with lights – the colours will be the same) as follows:
Yellow: Used when a car, debris or other object is causing a hazard on the circuit (often a car spinning), and this hazard can be removed quickly
with minimal disruption and in complete safety. Please must slow down.
Red: This is shown when the session must end due to a hazard that cannot
be removed quickly and safely. Please return to the pits very slowly.
Blue: Used to show a participant that there is a faster car behind them.
Participants must indicate and move over to the appropriate side of the
track on the next available straight.
Black: To be used when a participant is driving discourteously or has a
mechanical problem with their vehicle. Participants must come straight
into the pit lane for an explanation.
Checkered: Used to indicate the end of the session. Only shown twice (once before lunch and once at the end of the day).
Overtaking rules are as follows :
1) Overtake on the straights only, not under braking and not round corners.
2) Overtake on the LEFT only.
3) Overtake BY CONSENT ONLY. This means the car in front must have clearly indicated and pulled over to the right before any overtaking manoeuvre can be made. If the car in front is not indicating, assume they have not seen you.
4) Powerful cars are expected to lift off the throttle on the straights to allow the less powerful cars to pass before the braking zone.
If these rules are obeyed, then car-to-car contact is impossible and the only element of danger is your own driving. Finally, remember to do a cool down lap each time before you return to the pits and avoid using the handbrake when parked up.
General Notes:
- No hand-held cameras are allowed. All cameras must be securely mounted.
- Slick tyres are not permitted without adequate roll-over protection.
- Please ensure you have your towing-eye fitted before venturing out on track.
- Strictly no timing.
- All cars must be able to pass a drive-by noise test of 88dB at 30 metres distance.
